Diwedd cyfnod. On a sad note, we note the proposed selling of Ysgol Cilycwm School on Wednesday. A building which has contributed greatly to this community over the past 150 years.

It is with GREAT SADNESS I see Ysgol Cilycwm is being sold!
As a former Brynderi girl, and having started attending Cilycwm school from the tender age of three to bring the total number of kids up from 11 to 12 on the request of Meirion Williams the Headmaster to my parents, Dai and Miriam Morgan, so I feel I was at one time, albeit 62years ago, instrumental in saving this charming and delightful school!
I now live in Australia, and on subsequent visits back to the old country to visit my family, my son Caradog attended the school as a pupil numerous times, which greatly enhanced and enriched his formative years. He still has very fond memories of attending the school and all the lovely friendships he formed!!
So it is indeed the end of an era!!
