Neuadd Arms re-opening

The pub in Cilycwm was packed last night (Saturday) when the news got around that it was to re-open after a 10 day break to enable the new owners, John and Sandra Hughes, to move in and get established. They didn’t  have to move far – the family have lived here for most of their lives, and that is what made this event so special. A local family running a local pub is a rarity now. Will (clickclick) Theophilus took a few pictures – see below.

The last owners, Julie and James (I never found out their surnames), despite being outsiders, carved out a special place for themselves in the community and we wish them success and happiness in their next venture.

We are told that the restaurant, with Sandra’s on Gareth in charge, will be opening next week-end. That sounds like another cause for celebration.
