Cwm Rhaeadr is a special place. The waterfall being an added attraction, possibly the reason why it is believed a Roman Commander was buried near there (there are clues around that recorded this event). No visible signs remain, but would twenty first century people know what to look for.

It also signifies this area’s links to the Roman period and the mines in Rhandirmwyn and Dolaucothi.
