“AUCTION of PROMISES” – for Welsh Air Ambulance and Llandovery Hospital.
The good people of Rhandir-mwyn and surrounding area are giving of their time and skills to raise money for the Welsh Air Ambulance and Llandovery Hospital.
The event is being organised by the Rhandir-mwyn and District Community Association (RDCA); it will take place on SATURDAY 28th OCTOBER at THE ROYAL OAK INN in Rhandir-mwyn.
The idea is to ‘make a promise’, – which the auctioneer – Mr Paul Adams – will sell to the highest bidder. Paul is well versed with being the man with the gavel, and his services at other events in the Upper Towy Valley are well sought after. He said that it is “always a pleasure to support the local community, especially a charity event for such worthy causes.” He went on to say that “many of the lots on offer are particularly desirable”, and that he’s “got his eye on one or two” of them himself!
The RDCA would like to thanks the many people which have already pledged their ‘promises’, and to Chris at The Royal oak for providing the venue, and the “Chips & Dips”
A spokesman said that “we are delighted with the variety of promises received to date, and would welcome additional pledges. We are looking forward to a good fun night; we hope to have a full house with lots of people bidding, raising money for our nominated charities”.
