David Eirwyn Jones family history enquiry.

David Eirwyn Jones family history enquiry.Submitted by Chris Jones;

My father, David Eirwyn Jones, lived in Cochmaen in /about 1949. Dad’s parents were Ogley Morgan Jones and Rachel Anne Jones (nee Evans).

We recently took him back there to see what it looks like. The current owners were very kind and showed us around. They also showed us a copy of the book you produced. Is it possible to obtain a hard copy?

Thanks

We wondered if anyone else had memories of this family?

    I remember Eirwyn Jones ,Cochmaen as a member of Cilycwm Young Farmer’s
    Club. At the time I used to live and farm at Dinasbach which almost bordered Cochmaen. Eirwyn and myself once represented the club in Welsh Black stock Judging and were placed 1st as a team. I have a photograph of the club members
    taken in the early 1950’s which includes Eirwyn . If you would like a copy ( I Have a spare one)which includes your father, please contact me by e-mail.

    David Eirwyn Jones Family History.
    It was interesting to read the post submitted by Chris Jones.
    My late Father, David Morgan of Brynderi, Cilycwm was a 1st cousin to Eirwyn. I personally remember Eirwyn’s parents Ogley & Ray when they resided at Cochmaen. If my memory serves me correct Ogley & Ray at one time resided in Ceylon now called Sri Lanka and they also had a daughter called June.Co-incidentally my Father purchased Brynderi from Ogley. Unfortunately over the years my Father lost contact with Eirwyn and his family who I believed had moved to the Clydach area of Swansea.
    The wonders of the web. Welcome 2nd cousin Chris.
