Stag on Mynydd Mallaen in October.

Willclickclick (also known as Will Theophilus) photographed this magnificent animal on the Saddleback on Mynydd Mallaen, a narrow ridge that divides the River Gwenlais, and the River Merchon. The Stag was ascending the steep gradient towards Cwmcroiddur Mountain gate.

Although a few have been seen in the locality in recent months, we believe this was the same animal that was seen at 5 o’clock the previous evening by Barry Stone’s home, above the Towy Bridge on the Cwrt y Cadno road.

The image is very pixelated due to the extreme magnification he had to use whilst zooming in.
