Neighbourhood Watch notice

Dear Watch Member,

Carmarthenshire Police are tackling violent crime and anti social behaviour linked to alcohol.

“Carmarthenshire police will be putting additional resources into tackling violent crime and antisocial behaviour linked to alcohol” said Inspector James Davies.

Crime figures show that Carmarthenshire is already one of the safest places to live and work in the whole of England and Wales, however we can always do more.

As such the police in the County along with various partner agencies, will be supporting a pan Wales and England campaign to drive the figures down even further.

The campaign will focus increased activity on tackling night time violent crime in our town centres, along with additional measures in relation to domestic violence and drink driving.

Insp Davies added “ Expect to see more police in the town centres on evening weekends, regular checks of licensed premises, increased proactivity around domestic violence and if you are going to have a drink, do not drive”

The campaign will run from the August bank holiday weekend until the end of September.
